Mrs. Martins 6th grade class stepped into the world of real science with a hands-on cow heart dissection! 🫀
Students explored the structure of the heart up close, identifying major parts like the ventricles, atria, valves, and arteries. They traced the path of blood flow, seeing firsthand how this powerful muscle works to keep living organisms alive.
Beyond anatomy, they practiced critical thinking, teamwork, and scientific observation—asking questions, making connections, and gaining a deeper appreciation for how complex (and amazing!) the human body really is.
It was an unforgettable experience that brought classroom learning to life!

Jones Academy 3rd-6th grades participated in a Trail of Tears walk this school year. They started right before Native American Heritage month and covered a total of 5,045 miles in honor of those who had to take this journey. During this time our students learned about each of the five civilized tribes, their history, and the resilience of the Native American people. Yakoke to our administration and teaching staff who supported and encouraged our students every day!

We had a great visit to Carl Albert State College on April 28, 2026!
Our group was led by one of the school’s Viking Ambassadors, who gave us an informative and engaging tour of the campus. We explored the library, academic buildings, Stivers Center, and even got a look inside a dorm room.
It was a day full of learning and experiencing what life could be like as a CASC Viking!

The boys dorm traveled to the Oklahoma City Zoo on Saturday, April 25th, and it was the perfect day to get out and explore! From seeing amazing animals to enjoying time together, it was a fun-filled trip for everyone. Great memories were made and lots of smiles along the way!

ECU Preview Day 🎓
On Friday, April 17th, our students had an amazing opportunity to visit East Central University for a special preview day!
They explored campus, toured several buildings, and learned about ECU’s history. One of the highlights was participating in a mock jury experience in a classroom within the business building that was set up like a courtroom! ⚖️
Students also enjoyed a delicious lunch on campus and wrapped up the day with a presentation from ECU’s Education Leadership team, featuring a student panel.
It was a great day of learning, exploring, and imagining future possibilities!

Jones Academy 2nd grade hatched 15 eggs in their classroom. We waited 21 days for them to hatch. We loved seeing them as they hatched out of their shells. The class loves getting them out to love on them and read to them. We have learned a lot about chickens!
Our Jones Academy students had an amazing time at the Language Fair in Norman last week!
More importantly, we are proud of the hard work, dedication, and effort each student put in leading up to the event. They represented Jones Academy with excellence, and we couldn’t be more proud of how well they carried themselves throughout the competition.

Our Jones Academy middle school and high school students enjoyed a trip to Durant to tour the Choctaw Cultural Center!
Throughout the day, students explored the exhibits and deepened their understanding of Choctaw heritage, history, and culture. It was a meaningful experience filled with learning, reflection, and pride.

🐣🌸 Annual Campus-Wide Easter Egg Hunt Fun! 🌸🐣
On Thursday, April 2nd, we hosted our annual campus-wide Easter egg hunt for both our littles and bigs—and what a day it was!
We kicked things off with our elementary students up at the school, complete with an exciting drone egg drop that had everyone smiling and searching high and low. Then we wrapped up the festivities with our middle school and high school students at the dorm playground for another round of fun.
To make the day even more special, we had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny himself handing out special prizes! 🐰
There was so much joy, laughter, and excitement shared across campus. We loved seeing all of our students come together to celebrate and enjoy the Easter festivities!

Our kids gave it their all on the stickball field on Saturday! 🏆 They battled through two tough games—coming away with a win in the first and a hard-fought effort in the second. Every practice, every drill is paying off, and it showed as they played like a true team. So proud of their determination, teamwork, and heart!

Jones Academy Ag students recently attended the Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) in Oklahoma City, where they had an outstanding and rewarding experience. The event proved to be highly competitive, yet many of our students excelled, earning top placements in their respective classes.
Beyond the competition, students gained valuable hands-on experience and meaningful insight that will contribute to their growth and future success in agriculture. Participation at OYE continues to play an essential role in strengthening and advancing Jones Academy’s Ag Program.

On February 16th, the Big Boys Dorm went to Topgolf for an afternoon of fun competition. 🏌️♂️
